JamFM: The Dream

I've always been intrigued by US Hit Radio (CHR), which is something we don't really know in Belgium. For years now I've been wanting to set up a CHR station for Europe; JamFM. This is still a dream and I've never really found time for it.

The idea was born in 2001, when a number of national frequency packages were to be assigned for Belgium's first commercial radiostations. At the time I was 19 and still studying, and did not look for financial backing for the idea. Some parties were approached with the concept, which made for very interesting discussions.

Back then, Tim Peeters designed the following logo. Thanks Tim!

While this looked really nice, it's unlikely this would be the final logo if the idea ever gets further off the ground. The domain JamFM.be was acquired for this project on the 10th of June 2001. While the idea was dormant by then, JamFM.com was bought from a squatterer at the end of 2003.

In 2002 JamFM would probably have sounded like this. But it didn't.
