Hello, I am Maarten. I am a cybersecurity executive with over two decades of experience, building programs that leave society a little more resilient every day.
I was Chief Security Officer at Adobe and Chief Trust Officer at Zendesk, and held leadership roles at companies including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. I am currently a Cybersecurity Fellow at Adobe.
I grew up in Belgium and hold Master's degrees in Information Security and Intelligence and in International Relations. I served on the Board of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) 2011–2021 (including as Chair) and as Lead Expert to the United Nations IGF's BPF on Cybersecurity 2014–2022.
